The Dhivehi language of Maldives, however, is related to the Sinhala language of Sri Lanka. Its present day Script <em>Thaana\u00a0 <\/em>is written from right to left like Arabic. The English language has established a wide currency in the country. This page discusses the various elements of the Culture of Maldives.
