Transnational solidarity of peaceniks and development oriented progressive groups can cast a stabilizing impact on the fragile, weak, unstable and authoritarian states of the Middle East and Africa. Such groups can chalk out an agenda of minimum goals for ensuring peace, eradicating crime, corruption, extremism and militancy. They can work for culturally informed sustainable peace and development. It is for the civil society consisting of the academia, media people, faith leaders, rights activists and social workers to arrange such groups through mutual cooperation. Such groups shall operate across the borders. Their work shall be informed by humanitarian cosmopolitanism wherein they shall work for the welfare and education of communities and nations without any national, religious, ethnic or race discrimination. As they try to attain these goals they shall advocate the right causes to all the important stakeholders in various parts of the world. In time they shall be able to influence governments and non-state actors to a point where they can make a difference in the lives of large number of common people.
